Call Center Executive, 2 and half years of work ex.

Dear Sir,

Reading the posts here, I somehow feel out of place. Anyways, I stand nothing to lose in giving it a try  .

I am a Post graduate in English from Panjab University. Right after studies, I joined Genpact and have worked there for 6 months as a technical support. I left GE and came to Dell Mohali, and have been working here ever since. My cumulative work ex thus comes to around 2.5 years.

Though I always wanted to continue my studies (literature et al), I have now decided to settle down in the corporate sector for a lifelong career. Though I have learnt much, my job profile still sounds light, even frivolous... I would thus like to back myself with a solid foundation, and gain the necessary skills to survive in this industry.

I am seriously interested in your 1 year executive program, and would like to know I could be eligible for it. I have not really kept in touch with my studies, but back myself in English and Math-the two subjects for MBA Entrances.

I plan to enroll myself for IBSAT this December. Please advice on my chances, and how I can best prepare for it in this short period.

I appreciate your attention.

Regards

Sam

IBS Executive MBA (GGN)

Postby pankaj_chopra » Tue Jan 13, 2009 1:32 am

Hi.. I am new to this forum and decided to join the bandwagon after clearing my IBSAT in December'08...I am aspiring to go for 1 year Executive MBA from "Gurgaon" (all this while i thought that this programme is offered in Hyderabad only untill i got a confirmation from IBS)..would highly appreciate if some one could guide me through as I am new in this territory...my total work experience in service industry (with 1 year in a BPO as a Quality analyst) adds up to 7 yearsplease answer the following:

1. I would like to shift to some other industry- what kind of placement can i expect post the programme

2. is IBS Gurgaon at par with Hyderabad in regards to faculty and placement?

3. can some one please validate the average package claims- what kind of package can i expect as I am going for a study loan...I understand that repayment begins after the completion/ placement.

4. what about scholarships?

Thanks

Pankaj

Executive MBA at IBS

Postby srihari_ravi » Wed Jan 21, 2009 8:12 pm

Hi guys, this is Ravi. I have 3.5 years of work-ex. I took CAT this year, but didn't get the % I targeted. I feel that leaving a good job for an MBA from a not-so-good is not worth it. I didn't really think about joining ICFAI, so I missed out the admission process for classes joining 2009. I guess I will have to wait till next year now! :(

Can someone provide info on the following with regards to executive MBA (1 year) at IBS?
1.class timings
2.fee
3.exam date

Are these details same for the 2-year course too? What exactly is the difference between the 1-year and 2-year course except the course period?

Thanks!
Ravi.

IBS v/s IMT Exectuve MBA

Postby pankaj_chopra » Sat Jan 24, 2009 12:39 pm

Hi

I have been through IMT's executive MBA brochure and it looks good in terms of placement and average packages.

Is IBS executive MBA at par with that of IMT ghaziabad?

Thanks
